What do you use on your strings when finished playing?

Ha-ha!

Guess you’ll have to start wearing gloves when you play, eh Pam?

(but then, that topic has been thrashed to death already!)

Cheers, Joe

What? You people wipe down your strings after playing?

I just boil them in a water and baking soda solution every year or so.

I hope you remove them from the bass first :scream_cat:

There are some mistakes you only make once.

Dunlop System 65 is my choice. I use the string conditioner maybe weekly, the body polish as much and the fretboard cleaner/conditioner pretty infrequently. It’s a lemon oil based system, a little bit goes a long way!

A word of warning: don’t used lemon oil on maple fretboards/necks! These necks tend to have a very thin lacquer finish that lemon oil will eat into. Warm water and a bit of love will do just right for your maple necks.

One personal rule is hand washing. I never pickup my instruments if I haven’t washed my hands first.
