The two go-to ways to keep basses handy are to either use wall hangers or racks. Each has its pros and cons.
If you don’t mind drilling into walls, hangers save on floor space.
If you have the floor space, racks offer added security that your preciousness(es) won’t abruptly kiss the deck, whether due to mechanical failure or operator error.
When it more than the wall and floor space then you need to take it in rotation, so each bass you own get molested at least every once in a while, just get a Shed-Shed for that
I did see this thingy online and it might be interesting if there are only a few basses you want to store away. Would fit right next to the suits in the closet
I use a mix of floor stands and wall mounts. Its a fairly small room (3 metres by 3 metres) and I have just enough space for a mix of 11 guitars, bass guitars, ukuleles and a mandolin in total. Plus keyboards, digital wind instruments and harmonicas. I also have some “spare” guitars in the basement - deciding what to do with them!
It’s a choice like most everything in life. I want through it too at one point. What works for me is a bass it love to play and a spare just in case…
+1 for the Herc stands. I use the floor stands and can set them pretty close together. Plus they collapse and you can bring them wherever you need them to go.
I’ve got a couple of those in my Amazon christmas list for my girls to buy me. I was looking for cheap bass related stuff to give them since me saying I just want some more macaroni art like the old days isn’t’ a sufficient answer (even though it’s completely true).
That is so nice to see your friends and all your basses scattered all over the place. Your restaurant looks like a nice place to eat.
If you need a place or someone to hold the blond bass with the bird on the fret board on the left on image 1178 I will take care of it for you.
6 or seven. I have the 5 as you can see I squeezed in 11 with the expansion kit. For sure the 5 can comfortably fit 7 because the bundle that I bought came 2 with 2 slot expansion kit.
You have great taste. This one is a custom build from Lignum. It took a month of back and forth on parameters and spec and 6 months to build, on the video it looks like all are machine made but actually it has hundreds of hands on hours. I think it’s their number 8 instrument made.
Enjoy! This is the one. I actually sent them the EMG custom color and Preamp Config.
