The USA allows distributers to price fix.
Manufacturers can impose a MAP, minimum advertised price, on their products. Sometimes calling and or going down in person can get you a lower price.
In my experience, it’s been on the distributer side, for instance Sidi motorcycle boots can be purchased and shipped from the Netherlands for 60% of what they sell for in the US. It happens through exclusive distribution through giant companies such as this one……

It’s likely to be a V2. Compare your control panel to the V1 and V2 images. They’re slightly different. That will tell you.
