What to do with a set of new strings that I don't like?

I bought these last year on Amazon, and as you can see, they were $44.99 for a 5 string set. I think we’ve established that flats generally cost more than rounds. I don’t mind; I’ll pay whatever I have to to avoid playing on roundwounds.

I read so much about the tone of the Rotosound Jazz 77 flat wounds that I bought them and I simply disliked them. They sound like strange rounds to me. It was a real disappointment. I paid $45 for them in USA but here in Mexico they cost $100+ unless you buy them on A____n. I will try to sell them even if I get $15 for them.

I tie my old strings in a big ball of bass string. Kinda an art project I started. But I am not really far right now, only 8 strings in it so far.

Update: I put the strings on another instrument, and I like them there :no_mouth:

Well, if nothing else, and you’re into craft stuff, you can make bracelets out of strings:
