Whatcha Watchin'? The TV Thread

Sex is also a very strong force in humans. Wish we would see more of that. Why is it OK to have so much violent-driven content, but everybody faints as soon as we see a nipple (or even “worse”: a dong)?

PS don’t like Jazz, especially the kind I heared in Bosch (though it was even more terrible in the otherwise fantastic series “Homeland”) … and though being a total dog person myself, I don’t know about people in general liking dogs. There was that German/Austrian guy who also loved his dog called “Blondi”, remember?

Not sure whether you had your second coffee yet this morning…

About your first paragraph: there are websites for that. Otherwise, such scenes are much harder to shoot and act in (and I mean that in all seriousness).

About the other paragraph: fair enough that you don’t like jazz. I don’t get at all what your point is otherwise… it feels like some totally unrelated brain farts strung together  :astonished:

Love everything about Bosch, especially the great jazz he listens to.

The TV series is a sophisticated police procedural born of a series of novels written by former Los Angeles Times crime reporter Michael Connelly. His Bosch character is a true-to-life amalgam of the LAPD homicide detectives he worked with daily.

Loved Homeland, too. Excellent directing, acting and cinematography.

I watched two Academy Award nominees last night: The Only Girl in the Orchestra (Short Documentary) and The Substance (Best Picture).

Each was excellent in its own right.

Also watched A Real Pain for which Kieran Culkin is nominated for Best Supporting Actor. He is a superb actor well deserving of this honor.

Watching the latest season on Invincible. It’s not as strong as the first 2 seasons, but it’s still a great show.

Will try and convince my wife to begin watching Vox Machina. I’m itching for a rewatch.

Netflix.

It’s only 35 minutes long, but it is so fascinating. It’s a loving snapshot of a natural-born player’s life and career, directed and produced by her niece, her only living relative. Superb.

Just finished Disclaimer.
Give it a solid…meh.
The 2nd person narration was annoying.
I liked what they were trying to do but didn’t like how they did it.

Still reeling about how great Lioness was, highly recommend.

I rarely watch TV. But this is really well done and makes me happy to never have to work in an office. The soundtrack is also fabulous.

Paradise on Paramount plus. Started watching last pm, after 4 episodes, I’d say it’s one of the best new shows to come out in awhile.

I agree … it’s very good! Much better than Silo season 2…

Missing spoiler alert, dagnabit! I will be watching this game on YouTube tonight. The win by Finland over Sweden was a great game.

I’m not big on these staged fights that happen a lot nowadays but after that it turned into a pretty terrific game. I was hoping MacK / McD / Sid would run up the score against the US. I might have to look into picking up one of the team Canada MacKinnon sweaters. I think they look really nice.

I’m also secretly hoping MacKinnon is talking Sid into coming to CO for a cup run. Those 2 are so sick together.

Out of all the teams I follow the Avs are the only ones that don’t suck this year, so yeah.

Dammit Sharks.

The Avs look every bit the first round exit to me this year. They’ve been my team since Roy was traded here… so over a decade before I even moved to Colorado. I was black out drunk on senior week in Ocean City MD when they won their first cup in '96. I only found out about it when I got back.
