Whatcha Watchin'? The TV Thread

Hahaha, got it, of course.
Lived across the 4711 building in cologne.
It smelled like weed around there though

I think I will watch it again. There are some great actors in that series. Kate Siegel was also awesome in The Haunting of Hill House. Have you watched it? It’s totally worth it. Mysterious and spooky.

Actually I meant The Haunting of Bly Manor, which is even better in my opinion. Kate Siegel is in both these series, and I got the names mixed up, since they’re so similar.

Both these Haunting series are great. Kate Siegel sure knows how to choose a part. If she acts in some horror series, it is bound to be good.

I watched everything Mike Flanagan did.
I was very very very disappointed with “Doctor Sleep”. I mean: THIS is the sequel to “The Shinining”???

WTF???

Will watch “The Life of Chuck” today…

Oh man … the dance scene! Wow!!!

EDIT Finished it. A must watch!!! Not very typical for Stephen King and neither for Mike Flanagan.

Absolutely great!

Lucky you.

I just started “Midnight Mass” 2 days ago. It’s some kind of a slow burner, I guess, but tension is gradually growing now. I was researching a bit for Mike Flanagan, and found that he was saying that “Midnight Mass” was his most personal work and that there are lots of the “real Flanagan” in the main character as he was raised as a Catholic and then came to thinking about religion and all, and now he’s an atheist. I haven’t had Flanagan on the radar, just saw that he did also “Hill House” which I also haven’t watched yet; actually the name of the series - in German “Spuk in Hill House” - was holding me back, it sounds like a child series with some kind of spooky stuff in it.

Never EVER take German titles seriously … and never never never ever watch dubbed content!

Good advice. I’d really like to know why they are giving stuff some idiot titles instead of simply leaving the original title. This really keeps me away from watching something.

Appaloosa. Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen. On the short list of any time movies for me… And a good reminder that a great friend means the world.

It’s currently on NETFLIX in the US.

Ah, that “rookworst en boerenkool” seems to be very similar to the German “Grünkohl mit Pinkel”, Green cabbage (kale) with smoke-dried sausages. It’s a dish which is specific to the northwest of Germany (Lower Saxony and Bremen). The rest of Germany wonder why it’s called “Pinkel” because that means something like “pee”. :joy:

I always have to giggle, when somebody boast about his P-bass

The Grünkohl might be the same, but the secret is our sausages.
Ok, that also sounds a liitle peculiar. But our rookworst is unlike any other sausage in the whole d@mn WORLD

It’s great! If you come to Holland, don’t get the fancy rookworst. It’s for snobs and tourists. We do unspeakable stuff to it

Go to the HEMA - that’s a typical dutch store, and they have the best rookworst. It’s lying around in hot water for hours, days, maybe weeks, or even years, dunno. The water is not changed since the tulip crisis in the 17th century.
But that’s the essence of everything Dutch

There’s a saying among the Dutch in the U.S.

If you’re not Dutch, you’re not much.

That’s funny. Wrong, but still funny.

I always thought that we are famous for the “Dutch Rudder” (also we’re back at stuff to watch :-))
