Whats everyone using for playalong tabs. The free version of songster is rubbish, i hate the synth. All youtube videos ive found have someone else playing along on the bass. Ideally i dont want to hear someone else playing along with me.
Songsterr free version but I use Spotify to play the songs. Not always syncād but close enough.
@keat-r if you use the search function youāll probably find any questions you have might already have been discussed.
Most subjects will probably already have an existing thread.
Can you explian how please.
Hit the magnifying glass and type in ātabsā
Apologies, i was referring to @Rob5589
Ahā¦sorry bout that
i am actually one of the few who really likes songsterr. every once in a while i will go to ultimate guitar, search for a few songs, find exactly zero of them and forget about it for a few more years. as for the synth, i find it actually easy to hear the notes on the cheesy synth and after all, itās a tool. i wouldnāt exactly listen to it for fun ![]()
I usually start Songsterr a second or so before Spotify. Songsterr muted on my laptop; Spotify on my phone.
I also like Songsterr. Went back to a plus membership (paid). I like being able to change the speed and loop certain sections of a song if I want. ā¦and playing along with the actual music. Itās not always 100% accurate and the AI transcribe function isnāt very good to date. But using it to learn songs is worth it to me at present.
I like Songsterr much more than Ultimate Guitar.
Iām going to be āthat guyā and say- use tabs as needed, but the sooner you can learn songs by ear the better. Itās very liberating, it allows you to learn any song you want. A lot of us use Moises to hear the bass better.
We have a few threads on here,
I have posted lists of a few sites for tabs to use on Guitar pro, there is also Ultimate Guitar which I use as well as a few other.
Tabs are great to get started-look at a few versions and play along to the recording of your choice, adapt to suit.
On YouTube you can use it to practice then use Moises to take out bass track and play along without bass. When itās free, you get what you get, sorry.
Another good one is the Guitar Pro 8. Itās not free but itās closer to what you need. You can buy their app (one time purchase) then buy the songs they are not bad at all.
If you want a song thatās not on YouTube you can always use Fiverr it will cost you but you get what you want, some even make video for you but it aināt cheap.
You can post your request here too some may already have the tabs that they are willing to share.
Lots of free Guitar Pro tabs available also:
The songbook is subscription, which is a common form of piracy these days
i actually wasnāt even aware until about 2 seconds ago that you can edit and save tabs in songsterr. if this actually works ok than that for me would be a gamechanger as there are a few tabs that i would like to see changed that i am currently learning.
Songsterr 99% with some YouTube.
Songsterr comes out very cheap to use if you practice a lot, and totally worth it to me.
Also it has a new ai converter program which is more accurate, its better than before but canāt transcribe heavy slap like Marcus Miller and Dr. Funk.
Tried it with Road Runner by Dr. Funk last night and its way to much data for it.
Overall I wouldnāt be anywhere without Songsterr, recommended definitely.
Just started the pay version of Songsterr and the ability to slow it down has been extremely helpful, worth the price for that alone.
I just recently picked up the transcription pack from basslessons.be. Itās like, a couple thousand transcriptions for a fiver! Plus the guy will transcribe to order and it sounds pretty cheap. Iāll definitely be taking advantage of that once I achieve a skill level where it makes sense for me to do so. It really seems like the guy just wants to get bass tabs out there. Apparently heās well regarded as being accurate, And if you do find errors heāll fix them and re-upload.
I heard about it on here, I want to say it was either @howard or @faydout that mentioned it, but I donāt really remember, I was within the first couple days I was posting. I tucked that bookmark away for a rainy day lol, and I actually just got them this past week. The gentleman who does it is super nice, he sent a very kind, welcoming email, and threw in two more transcriptions that he just finished lol.
I figured it would be good for me as a learner to have a wide variety of genres and songs and even full albums to choose from rather than get stuck in a kick of just the stuff that I like, if that makes sense. Plus I do stan a website that sells a product that they actually created, instead of making money on the backs of unremunerated user-generated content. Iām babbling. Anyways, hereās the link ![]()
Thatās awesome! Sounds like a great deal. I donāt think it was @howard or I though, looking at the songs heās got. If I had to wager I guess, that looks like it might be right up @Whying_Dutchmanās alley. Maybe not though if heās Belgian. I think Dutchyās got some sort of centuries old beef with them breaking off from the Netherlands in 1830.
