Yeah, I agree, they do. 
But it takes actually playing them to appreciate how good they feel.

i have no idea if the flamed part is causing it but the only one i have is by far the best feeling in the hand.

@itsratso Is your neck flamed maple, or is it roasted maple, or both? Flamed refers to the tiger-stripe grain pattern of a piece of wood.
You bake it you bought it. 
Nothing like a pink bass with intense beef taste.
