I learned to drive there and I was driving since 13, I could drive through China Town with my eye closed, well simply because the traffic goes at about half a mile an hour,
The last few times I went back and drove there I got into fender benders every time. Funny, each time they just look at the scratches and just wave it off, people are so generous there. One time I side swiped a motorcycles and he went down, he got up and picked his bike and just rode on, WTF.
Sounds a lot like driving around in downtown Naples. I’ve been to Thailand too and yeah… whole different level. Even as (or especially as) a pedestrian you need to be both assertive and defensive at the same time. Especially of the motorcycles. Americans aren’t really built for that.
@Whying_Dutchman check this out, just got mine a couple of days ago, it’s quite awesome. I paid $41 for it on Linsoul.
It has this acoustic labyrinth to passively cuts bass signal at 200 hz to create a clean separation to lower mid you get very good signature. I’m very impressed. Great cable as well although only available in 3.5mm
They sound really interesting, but I will not purchase any new head phones / earbuds this year.
I have everything I need … and still enjoy the Fiio JT7 tremendously, thank you!
Every time I listen to a well known track, I discover new stuff with them, and that’s one of the best compliments I can make for audio equipment. In this respect they are even better than my Focal Bathys, and that’s really hard to admit.
Ok, I will get new TWS ANC earbuds soon, but that’s a different story.
I will send back my B&W Pi8 next week … and hope that the new Sony WF1000XM6 will be good enough…
The Pi8 are ok, but OK is not acceptable in my world…
EDIT You were right - again - they sound very very good!
I thoroughly enjoy the sound: it’s detailed, neutral but with subbass, and its stereo stage is impressive for earbuds.
That was a great buy!
And now I don’t want to know anything about any head phone or earbud anymore … until 2027, at least!
For general use, airpods. For playing bass, I already had Steel Series Arctic Nova 1, and they work perfectly fine. As an absolute beginner, I’m glad I didn’t spend and extra $250 for something I wouldn’t notice.
Naw, I have the wired ones. AFAIK wired is the way to go unless you get specific bluetooth cans that are made for playing. Apparently the wireless delay can be bad, but i have never tried. I did buy a longer wire though for like $10 from Amazon.
I would not underestimate those. They don’t stand out in anything, but also they are not really bad at anything.
This was the only Apple product I used I recent years: as my earbuds for playing in the park. They were perfect for that!
Just a bit lack of seal therefore slightly off on bass tone. When I use ear buds I noticed that I turn up my bass EQ. Similar but opposite when I wear a well seal IEMs vs no earphones of any kind and straight off the amp.
Oh, no no no I don’t play with the airpods, just the Arctis Nova 1s. Airpods are my daily general use.
I take the cord and plug it into my beats pill to tune it. I figured I’d try and avoid spending more (after overspending on the bass) and see what happened. Everything seems fine so far.
