Least she could have done was plugged the bass into a chord. Lol

One of my favorite Japanese bands, sadly broken up for over a decade. Watch this while you can, Sony pulls their vids down pretty fast.

Miki Furukawa, bass and one of the vocalists for Supercar.

Wanda Ortiz is my second favorite bassist. She got selected to play the upright bass by accident by being late to music class. the rest is history!

There’s basically three famous bass players here that I know of who have rocked Yamaha SBV’s over the years, famous to the point that Yamaha has used them in advertising and then made a signature model for one. I’ve mentioned two in this thread already; Fumi from Polysics, usually rocking a SBV-550:

and Miki Furukawa (from Supercar), the bassist my SBV-800MF signature model is from (which she is playing here):

The third is Akko from Go! Go! 7188, usually with a SBV-550:

John’s BJB-5 is also a signature model, but technically not a SBV, and Terry don’t fit this thread

Here’s a Yamaha promo ad with Fumi and Akko in it:

Not sure why they never got signature models. Miki was bigger though, Supercar was huge (especially after Bowie called them out as being great).

I really like Fernanda Liera (ex-Nervosa) from all female band, Crypta. Wails like a banshee and puts down a solid bass.

These girls rock seriously hard.
