Women on Bass

I don’t know…
But, - “She’s got skinny legs and that’s okay.”
5 bonus points if you can name the author of the quote.

yes I agree. she’s played guitar for a while so I don’t see any reason to think she doesn’t play bass on it.

Just cool :sunglasses:

Just for fun, Miyako, a guitarist in power metal band Lovebites as well as a concert pianist, jamming on her bass

I guess Japan likes Warwick. Am I remembering correctly the live shows I’ve seen she plays a 5 string by one of the Japanese brands that doesn’t import to the US?

yeah they are all over the place

She has had a signature guitar that you can’t import, but mostly she has played Dean and Gibson. She used to have an EBMM bass and then got the Warwick.

And the Warwick isn’t a J, rebel that she is (in Japan)

You might be thinking of Misa who gigs a Black Cloud - but uses a EBMM Stingray 4 string in the studio

I was actually thinking of Fami because I read too fast and skimmed over the word guitarist.

She’s definitely gone to the school of F-Chopper.

(Seriously I wonder how many female bassists Koga encouraged with her slap lesson video).

Wow they are pop. Didn’t expect that from this vid.

Primus vibes and Pocky!!! Off topic but do you guys have any recommendations for Japanese rappers? I haven’t looked around yet but the little rap bits in some songs I like are so on point. I have to imagine I’m missing out.
