Xmas Eve here, chuggin’ through the last day of work like a U2 bassline.
I won’t get to watch Die Hard or Nightmare Before Xmas as the youngest wants to watch the Christmas Carols (grr grr, I hate those shows) but I do get to watch the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo which I love, I am hoping I am allowed to stay on it to see the lone piper at the end.
As a former piper, this is a bit of a thing I like to see

It has been tradition at our house for this to be the last thing we watch on xmas eve. Well after dark, only lights in the house coming from the teevee and the bowl of xmas lights. Enjoy Tom Waits on Austin City Limits in 1978.

I’m getting ready to fire up the griddle and do stuffed french toast (marscapone, homemade bourbon vanilla extract, and real maple syrup filling) with eggs, hash browns, and bacon. We’re putting the bird in at 11.

First Christmas eve single in… shit… since high school, I think. First Christmas eve alone in… I think my whole life. I had some decent Chinese food via “Door Dash” Claus, a few Jack-and-Cokes, and watched NYPD Blue reruns until I crashed out.
