Yamaha RBX200

Hi guys, can anybody help me out?
I am chasing a new tuning peg for my Yamaha RBX200
Part number is NX802260 tuning machine assembly Rm1247
Yamaha in Australia say it is no longer available.
Maybe there is someone in the world who knows where I may be able to source 1.
I don’t mind if it’s used.

Have you considered just replacing the tuners with a decent set of aftermarket ones?

Hi @Lanny,
I wanted to try and keep it original?

Soundhouse (basically, Japan’s Sweetwater) has a bunch of pegs but I did not specifically see Yamaha.

Hmm other than that for Yamaha parts I am not sure. I would try pinging their support email or calling them, they should have a local number there. They generally handle parts direct AFAIK.

Thanks @howard.
I have had a look at their web page and am having trouble trying to register for some reason.
I have contacted Yamaha here in Melbourne and they have said part is no longer available.
If you know of any second hand store who might have something.
here is the part number as provided by Yamaha Australia
Part number NX802260 Description Tuning machine assembly RM1247
Chrome RBX200/300 L/C

Sadly I have no idea for anything local. You could just throw a new set of tuning machines on I guess? Hipshot or Gotoh, etc.

Looks like Sweetwater has a big selection:

You could also look for a junker RBX online to use as a parts bass too.

A junker was my next option
I could go a different style but I was trying to keep it original

Yeah they are cool basses, would be good to keep it stock.

There is an RBX200 for sale on my local offer up, or Let Go. Want me to buy it for you , and just ship the tuners to cut shipping costs? Lol

That might actually be a good way to go

Yeah, If I wanted the Bass for myself, I would offer to buy it, and trade the tuners for some aftermarket ones. He could send those to me, and I send him the stock ones. But I don’t really wanted the bass🥺

Hi @T_dub
I have just found a Yamaha bass 1989 model with the same tuners on it on eBay here so I’m going to see if I can squeeze them down on price ?
How much do they want for the one near you.
Cheers Brian

Hi @TNKA36, I found it, but I was sadly mistaken, it is a RBX260. It is newer, with a different headstock, the tuners may be the same, but I could not say for sure by the pictures

Oh, But, I kind of want it now, it’s fretless.
Asking $250
