Actually, I found one on Amazon that fits a Fender Jazz neck on Amazon for $21
But it is called Zero Glide Fretted Nut

Will this one work?

I did not see P bass neck or black anything, but for $21, I can live with white, I am replacing white.
I saw they were much more at StewMac

Yes that’s exactly what they’re called.

You might have to be aware of string spacing, neck width etc @T_dub .
That’s what I paid for mine from a store in Arkansas that sells on eBay

Toby @T_dub before you purchase that one on eBay, I would print out this sizing guide and see which model is right for your bass. Then check if the one on eBay is the correct model.

As long as you are doing the one end, you should finish the job on the other end with this…

Only seems logical

What does that Saddle-less bridge accomplish, aside from extracting $160 from my wallet?

No string bending at the saddle. The only contact point is at the ball do it forms the straightest possible string line out there. a straight line to the nut.
So, sustain for days. @Al1885 suggested I give one a try and I sure do like what it does.

Okay, I’ll put it on my wish list.

Was it difficult to install? Any holes to drill etc?

Matches fender style Bruges so no for me. It was on my earth wind and fire cover bass

Yeah, it says fits Jazz bass, and I am pretty sure on the narrow necks, string spacing is the same, but if not, it couldn’t be too far off and would correct itself by the time it crosses the pick up poles.
It would be bad if I took the Jazz Zero Glide Fret and put it on an old P with 1.75 neck for sure.

I actually thought I would find a bunch more options for the Zero Glide Fret and many blanks with different widths, like 38, 40, 42 and 43mm, or 1-11/16 or 1-3/4 and 1-1/4, but they are more worried about Brand then sizes fro what I can tell from the few I have seen available on StewMac and Amazon.

Thanks, I will check, but pretty sure I will be needing Jazz neck one for my Jazz neck basses

Wow, that is a great price, first one I ever saw was like $240
I followed a link from Guns and Guitars when I first saw that bridge.

For that price, I would certainly get one instead of a HipShot or Babicz or others.

Love that design.

It is a great bridge, have it in gold on the red bass thanks to @Al1885.
Takes a bit longer to adjust string height the first go, as you have to loosen the strings when adjusting, but aside from that it is super easy and has really great resonance and sustain.

Do they have other charts, the one I am looking at is not even on that list.
it is ZS-26F
But it says for Fender Jazz Neck, and I have a Squire Jazz Neck, so I can get it and before I put it on the Squire, I can double check it works for the Ray4 as well, but comparing the two basses side by side with a ruler, they are pretty identical, so should work.

I am guessing this one would fit the Frank Bello J-400 bass since it has a Jazz neck too, but its not black, so might need to look elsewhere for that.

Yeah, I asked Al about that when we first started talking via text, prior to his joining here. I said, Man, I saw that bridge on Guns n Guitars and wondered about it, looks awesome, and he concurred that it was.
Glad to see you get one two, but I bet you guys bought out all the gold ones LOL.

They’ve discontinued a few, and that may be one of them. You might email customer service and inquire.

Too much work, I will send it back if a Fender J Zero fret doesn’t fit a Squire J neck.

If the Fender J and Squire J have the same nut width and neck radius, it should work.

Yeah, I said that kind of sarcastically, but the chart you showed, said nothing of neck radius, I am pretty sure it is just neck width and string spacing.
Same with my Ray4’s, and probably any Jazz neck, Fender or not.

and same with my Ray4 necks which are Jazz necks too.

Yeah, string spacing too…

The reason I mentioned neck radius, is on the chart you may notice that the ZS-17F (I assume the F stands for Fender) is curved on the bottom. I suspect they replaced the ZS-26F with the ZS-17F, but that’s only a guess. That’s why I suggested emailing customer service to find out.
I guess you’ll find out when you get it.

Not sure about zero frets, but replacement nuts are length, width, height and spacing dependent, having just gone through this with TUSQ on my squier jazz. And they are not the same as fender and all Squiers are not the same either
