I don’t normally play through an amp. Normally I play through a Zoom B1 Four into a 1K AXE I/O One. This combination works well for me, but it’s a bit chaotic on my desk.
I’m thinking about upgrading to a Zoom B2 Four, as it has the built-in DAI.
Is it worth it? Is the DAI pretty good?
Having spent a great deal of time with the B2 Four, I can say wholeheartedly that I use an HX Stomp now.
The DAI, in particular, was quiet as hell. There were setting that could allegedly boost it but even set to max it was annoyingly whisper like. Trying to boost it additionally using the built in pedals and such introduced nasty distortion….not the good kind mind you.
Combine that with a host of other issues that I’ll fully admit might have only been an insufferable annoyance to me and me alone, I gave it to my wife.
