That’s gotta be the ugliest amp I’ve ever seen
THere’s barely enough space there to set your beer.
Aw, c’mon. There’s just enough width on that ledge to host a full row of beers.
@TheMaartian - I wanted my girlfriend to learn the accordion, cause I find it such a funny and silly instrument - since I saw “WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story” - but she really does not want that ![]()
One of the best biopics EVER! ![]()
Super cool combo! Automatic treble control makes sure to produce high frequency notes during the spin cycle and improved sustain during the whole centrifuge action. Blends perfectly on stage (top loader). This should be in the GAS thread!
PS: notice also only one big volume knob on top, which certainly goes all the way up to 11! It is a no brainer deal!
3 of them chained would have looked very cool next to Geddy’s washing machines.
Note: the one on the left has a bunch of tour t-shirts in it. At one point, Geddy tossed them to the Rush Heads in the first two rows (he recognized them from previous tour stops). I was in Row 3 and didn’t get squat. Except for an excellent concert!
Why would I want an IR Loader? To make it sound like an Ampeg SVT? $1500 is expensive for a 300 watt 2x10. A Rumble 500 is half that, and sounds just dandy, thank you very much. I’ve got the Aguilar Plug-in Suite. Works for me.
EDIT: I’ve been running v1.00 of the Plug-in Suite. I decided to check for an update and found that they had just released v1.30 a couple of days ago. I checked the release notes. v1.20 added all of the GS cabs, including the GS412! v1.21 fixed a bug where the GS cabs in Windows produced no sound and the version number displayed in Windows was incorrect. Sorry I missed the silent GS cabs, but the version number displays 1.24 and not 1.30. There is no entry for 1.24 in the release notes. So, the standalone keeps telling me a new version is available. v1.30 added two pedals. v1.24 has one of the two, but not the second one. I sent a message to their tech support. Sigh.
EDIT 2: The plug-in suite has gotten even more expensive. I paid 131 € 9 months ago. It’s now 172 € on the Aguilar website. Ouch.
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? is a 1968 dystopian science fiction novel by American author Philip K. Dick. Set in a post-apocalyptic San Francisco after a global nuclear war, the story explores themes of identity, empathy, and what it means to be human. The narrative follows Rick Deckard, a bounty hunter tasked with “retiring” (killing) six escaped Nexus-6 model androids—highly advanced artificial beings nearly indistinguishable from humans.
I love his writing style. Picked up a new First Edition hard cover (with jacket) of ‘Humpty Dumpty in Oakland’ at a used book store. Pulp fiction
Fast read too.
Also recommend “We’ll Remember It For You Wholesale”, which they adapted for Total Recall.
And of course Minority Report.
Need to re-read that; still not exactly sure what happened.
My problem with a lot of PKD is that it seems to get kind of preachy near the end. Especially with his novel-length stuff.
Respectfully, since this thread is about music related fun, here is a thread dedicated to discussing novels or non-fiction books.
PKD is fiction ![]()

That’s a good joke, if you meant it.
Even unintentionally, it’s still good.
Man, Marcus and Claypool. So badass.
I was going to point this out too but decided not to if serious. But especially in the context of the story itself it is funny.
