Yeah. My backlog right now is mostly Disney Plus. Which I can get but it’s a PITA.
Same. So many that sometimes I just go and find a synopsis and/or critical analysis if I’m curious enough to want to know or if someone makes a clever reference that I don’t get. Reading about it will help me decide if I want to invest the time.
Spoilers though, right?! Anxiety makes some movies completely unapproachable - I don’t like certain types of surprises. Knowing what’s going to happen actually made me watch the series Squid Game, and I was still surprised by how certain scenes were, um, ahem, executed.
Absolutely^^^
Meh. I often like knowing the gist.
Every time I rewatch twin peaks I have a synopsis open to remind myself of all the layers of stuff I can never remember fully.
I like knowing the stuff I might miss too.
Greetings from the Humungus, the LORD Humungus, ruler of the wasteland, the Ayatollah of Rock’n’rolla!
Who run bartertown?
Right there with you, lord of a a lot more then that.
Well, kind of more like a slave to a lot more.
Its good to be free.
Yeah, you ain’t wrong. Kinda nice to get actual sleep, aint it?
Will they dare go to……12?
Oh, that’s HEAVY…DUTY!
You know the real power wielder was Aunty Entity.
Wherever you go, there you are
Or keep your chin off your chest, and the drool back in your mouth.
Here I can sum up my life in 4 songs from my favorite local punk rocker and retires professional skateboarder. Duane Peters.
I love his local Huntington Beach band The U.S. Bombs and Duane Peters Gunfight, and Die Hunns, etc… I have some U.S Bombs and Die Hunns tattoos on my both of my forearms. ., and I relate a lot.
To the Smut Peddlers too, their tattoos are next to the us bombs tattoos on both my arms.
Its just cuz they have lived like I have and worse, but I can feel it in every song, I can relate to it exactly.
BTW, Duane Peters IS what Sid Vicious would be today had Sid’s mom not have killed Sid.
But this is how it starts
Then it turns into this
and evolves to this
and ends up like this
and just for fun, I love this band, but the last time I saw them, he was so fucked up he couldn’t sing half the songs, and pretty much quit towards the end. one of his new guitar players, a really nice guy, we talked to him for a long time out front of The world famous Doll Hut in Anaheim before the show. He stepped up and filled in singing when Duane was mumbling and dancing around and falling not he ground. It was kind of sad, cuz I have seen them many times, and he was fucked up most of the time, but could put on a good show, but now at his age, he can’t hold it together much any more.
This one was from about 6 or 7 years before the last time I saw them when he was a mess.
But the one shows how fun he can be when he performs well
Ok, I am done, I was just gonna reply with the first sentence of tis post, and look what it turned into.
Sorry, having a little trip down memory lane, and I don’t mean getting loaded, I just mean listening to really good punk rock I have not listened to for a good minute now.
Except for Youtube playing in the background and after the last song I copied, this came on and it is just so GREAT.
Die Hunns with Duane when he was married to Corey Parks, the super tall bombshell playing bass in the band.
Too good
Sorry if you don’t want to watch or listen to any of these, its cool, just skip, but if you like this kind of thing, like a few of you out there do, this is good stuff, you can’t make it up, it just happens.
Apparently that turned out to be BS; Parker admitted to making that up when called out on it later. Apparently Sid either killed himself (per his note), or simply OD’d.
Yeah, there is lots of mystery and BS around the whole Nancy being murdered or killing herself, and Sid Od’ing.
He was up for more after ODing the first shot after he got out, so either way, he odd, whether someone helped him along to not I can not confirm or deny.
Its just suiting that the 4th song was a Frank Sinatra cover, and Sid’s solo career, he is most famous for covering Frank Sinatra.
He did it his way
