At last we have found a clear specimen of the (long sought!) Wombat metal!

Now that we have one clear instance (of such a level if I may add!), it will be easy to find many other samples, I am sure!

At the very least, that busted-up dude scored himself a self-playing guitar.

I had never heard of these people before, but a brief glance at their YT channel yields a sh!t-ton of WTF.

You’ve never heard of Robert Fripp?

Not a huge King Crimson fan myself either though, don’t get me wrong. I appreciate them

Whoa, one of her bands has Bill Rieflin in it. Apparently she had a post-punk career herself back in the '80s. Never heard of her

She’s good!

Robert Fripp is a guitar god. He put the prog into prog rock. His wife Toyah is a pretty successful pop star too.

I am sure Corey and Clown and the boys are honored to be covered by Fripp.

Here is King Crimson from 69.

I didn’t recognize this guy as Fripp. I just skimmed the channel’s videos. They definitely have a…theme to them.

And I was a 21st Century Schizoid Man King Krimson fan —- back in ‘69.

Can’t blame you for that - he is almost 80.

Ahh, gotcha. Yeah, Fripp is still active, believe it or not. I never recognize him at first either.

Now I am really curious about her. If she was active in new wave and post-punk back in the '80s I almost assuredly had heard her. Thanks for the tip, Wombat

Ok yeah I’m sure I’ve heard her. Didn’t remember the name at all. Thanks!

Absolutely. I was a big fan. Hadn’t seen a photo of him since back in the day. The full-head getup didn’t help things.

Yeah, the mask is a Slipknot thing (the band they were covering).

She was big in UK/ Europe but never really did much in the states.

Same with 90% of the artists I was in to, yeah.

Flip the conversation around, change saxophones to “found object collection and half finished art projects,” ex-wife to “ex-husband and/or partner” and you have up to 2 of my past relationships.
