Also often me, but I have too much work for now
Quit slacking, the MXR M89 Bass Overdrive is the best overdrive pedal
cue the centaur fans in denial in 5… 4… 3…
Delay pedals are the effect I understand how to use the least. At some point I should fix that.
r/juggalo world problems:
I mean Juggalos are basically just deadheads with (IMO) way better music, but it’s impossible not to occasionally laugh.
For our friends in Deutschland.
The story of Barbara, her barbarian friends, their barber, Barbara’s bar and of course Barbara’s tasty rhubarb pie.
Gah… my son discovered that about a month ago. I had to threaten to permablock his ipad from the internet…
lol, I always have a glass of sake on the desk while I’m playing these days.
Hey I didn’t include the Tik Tok dance craze that goes with it
Here’s part 2 with the dance to make you a little crazy
This video shows perfectly why us Dutch do not fear a German invasion anymore
I feel much safer now, knowing that this reflects current German mentality!
I’ve been on a bit of a cider kick lately. I don’t drink often so when I do, I have to keep it to 2 ciders or I won’t be able to play (well). Just got done with a honeycrisp apple cider and a strawberry / rhubarb cider. The honeycrisp is a keeper but pear cider is still my fave.
mmm, I love a good dry cider.
In England I drank a brand called K. Loved the stuff but you can’t get it in the USA.
The Angry Orchard green apple is pretty good if I can’t get Strongbow which seems to be sporadically available in my grocery store.
Not a pedal but a rack unit, but I have found the holy grail for me if you want to save time
Up to a 4.8 second delay time, down to 1ms. You can use it actually as a sampler at the high end down to a phase distorter like a flanger at the low, and with some real solid tonal mods. I think I actually want a model of the PCM-41 more as it is lower-fi and lacks the input limiter so you can even get it to self-oscillate
For a pedal my personal favorite is the Boss RV-3 digital reverb/delay. The later models lose a bit of what makes it special though.
Red Star in my case
Although I do have a batch of rice wine bubbling away downstairs
THis time last week I had never even heard the term Juggalo.
Baijiu? Sounds interesting. I’ll have to keep an eye out.
I’ve considered making my own mead a couple times. Wouldn’t have thought to try home brewing rice wine.
Red Star is not the best baijiu, it is a bit rough and an acquired taste.
I like the Erguotou and Fen Jiu as well as Baijiu, not a big fan of Moutai even though it is considered the best.
It is not a drink generally enjoyed by guilao but I am an exception and can keep up with Chinese family at dinners.
I have made mead a few times and am trying to motivate myself to make it again, trouble with mead is that it takes time, so I want to make a big batch (like 40-50L) and let it sit for two years by which time it would be awesome.
Rice wine is easy and generally quick.
Use the stickiest rice you can fine, cook it without rinsing off the starch first. You want the starch. You then get a chu or qu ball from your local Asian supermarket and mix it into the nearly cooled rice.
The qu contains yeast of a few different varieties and it first converts all the starch to sugar and then to alcohol.
Generally it takes a week to two weeks (I use a fermentation bottle with a water lock) but as it is winter here and quite cold (Australian homes are generally not heated) it is taking longer.
Rice wine can have a yeasty smell but tases like nice sherry or similar sweet white wine.
Make sure the fermentation has stopped when you bottle it- I had a bottle I bought in Shanghai explode when I got home.
