I’ve done it. It’s… okay. Prefer beer by a lot.
The graduation from sake would be to shochu

Are you familiar with any of these to recommend? Aside from the $220 one… lol.
I have the gojira neuraldsp plug-in so that would be the first thing I’d play with. I’m sure it’s capable, and I already paid for it. It does do the cool ping pong delay, I played with it enough to know that!
It stands to reason that the ICP would have deadheads.
I mean it doesn’t, but I am so glad they do.
I also love the guy’s idea that a Juggalo girl walking around in horrorcore makeup was then not wanting to be noticed. I LOLed at bro kind of misreading signals there.
No, but I would be tempted to try the Aka Oni as any bottle of shochu named “red devil” is either going to be an amazing experience or a hilariously regrettable one.
One common drink to try is to squeeze some citrus juice fresh into a glass - one grapefruit or orange wpuld be fine - then add some soda water and mix in shochu to taste. This is called a “shochu sour” or “chuhai” and are both common here, awesome, and dangerous
I have tried Soju usually with beer.
It is ok but the ones we get seem to have corn syrup which I am not a fan of-it is not a common or popular ingredient here
We get a Fen Jiu here I like, a few others also.
Erguotou and Baijiu is way more expensive than it should be- sometimes you can find Red Star hidden in with the cooking wine in Asian shops
Who is that supposed to be?
It’s an AI reimagining of Jerry as The Dude, giving @howard the staredown.
Makes sense.
Although neither Jerry nor any Deadhead would give a rat’s ass about who doesn’t dig the Dead.
On reading all the description thats what appealed the most to me as well so it’s on it’s way. I shall report back
I bet, I will be sure to try Thank you.
heh, fair enough. I’ll leave that one to when I’m in a position to try it first before buying a whole bottle.
We do have a local meadery here now, just opened a year or two ago and they do a couple of nice ones so I’ll probably leave that to them.
Thanks for the rice wine info, I’ll have to give it a go one of these days
Similar though I think the Korean variety more often has other stuff in it while the Japanese is usually straight.
Fair enough, I have only had it with my Indonesian mate
another guilty pleasure is umeshu
Had a tiny bottle of that the other day- pretty good
Yes! One of my favourites is from Sawanotsuru.
And I love Choya, eating the plums is one of the best bits.
