Fennel seed to be precise.
Fennel itself was always used at Sunday dinner after the meal as a “digestive” between the mains and fruit/dessert. Fresh fennel is Dee-lish
Are we talking Sambuca here? Ok I guess that’s Anise.
That’s interesting. I’ve never had fresh fennel between courses. is it served as a palate cleanser?
Probably but my grandparents always said it helped digestion, which is doubtful as it’s very much Basically licorice flavored celery
Found this from webmd.com:
In many parts of the world, it’s common to eat a little bit of fennel after a meal to aid with digestion and relieve gassiness. Fennel has been shown to help with digestion by reducing inflammation in the bowels and decreasing bacteria that cause gassiness .
Love the name.
btw I used to read an urban fantasy book series set in my home town of Chicago. and the heroine, along with killing werewolves with swords, has a fave pizza - thin crust with double bacon and striped with sour cream. and GD it
As a die hard urban fantasy fan please tell?
Taco pizza with refried bean/enchilada sauce, mozzarella and cotija, taco meat, jalapeno and fresh shredded lettuce and tomatos on top with sour cream as a side - trust me on this.
sounds like basically Shadowrun Chicago
dammit I knew someone would ask. pretty sure it was this, if not I dunno
I mean it’s a different shaped taco. so yes
lol, looks good regardless, cheers
I can tell you that it is really good. urban fantasy is my guilty pleasure.

Yes like a giant flatbread taco. It’s amazing
Not sure why it’s never occurred to me to see if there were Shadowrun novels before. That’s another pile to add to the digital library

I still bust out and play the CRPGs sometimes.
Oh, man… I bet doing that on the Stonefire naan bread you can get in the grocery stores here would be epic.
Yeah for the pizza you usually want a thin and crispy crust in my experience but on Naan it would actually be really good too
