Yup, rosewood fretboard. Strangley, the tone control is on the back of the bass
Put one on reserve today, when it was going better. Got $250 off; we’ll see if the Surveyor comes, this might be a backup

OK I’m looking to expand my collection of cheaper basses…eBay has a few I’m eyeing, including a Gretsch G2220, a Peavey Fury IV (2 acutally, and they’re both the same price but different sellers at $195 plus shipping), a Schecter Devil Deluxe bass, a Peavey Dyna Bass or I can hold onto my money for a couple weeks and get a Stingray.
I’ve had nice basses so it narrows down. But fender 70’s vintera jazz and mm with 3 jazz pups I’d likr to try. I play a warwick jazzman with seymour pups and darkglass tone capsule. So i play a nice one and do not wish much more
Shector are doing nicw stuff, more expensive, look at a hellraiser bass
How do you like the Tone Capsule compared to other preamps you’ve used?
All of the Darkglass pedals I’ve listened to seem to have a more modern sounding bass tone baked in. Is it the same with the Tone Capsule?
How do you like the Bass/Low-Mid/High-Mid setup compared to the typical Bass/Mid/High?
Tried some. In my opinion its( darkglass) the best sounding preamp. But on the metal side a bit. But sounds great even for a beach boys cover.
I use my B7K all the time for EQ without the metal OD or klang.
It is a super clean EQ.
I also use it for adding a bit of OD and klang without being metal-y.
I had a Schecter Devil @athosmr2003 . Great basses
I just pulled the trigger on a PRS Kestrel SE. It is a new old stock 2017 model. Spent lots of time checking out many different basses. This is my first bass, so I wanted to make sure it was the right one because it will be the only one for a while. I was looking real hard at Fender P basses too, but decided I really liked this one best.
Nice! I think you made a good choice.
Is an Ibanez in my future? The surveyor missed it’s date for the sixth time, and I might be able to get this in a couple weeks instead. Like the looks, like the weight…
Ibanez makes great stuff, up there with Yamaha and ESP’s entry level lines for quality.
While I’m happy with my current basses, if I ever came across one of these Fender American Deluxe Dimension basses I’d jump on it:
Just ordered a Ric 4003JG. Now the long wait.
Nice! How long?
I’ve got an Autumnglo on order with Sweetwater. They say May but not holding my breath.
@John_E
I’m in the UK and ordered via the UK branch of Thomann and waiting for an update so you will probably get yours long before me
That’s for my new Star Wars themed band, “Boba Fret and the Bounty Hunters”.
so long as it’s called something along the lines of Groove 1…
This was a bass I wanted for many years, sadly I don’t think I’ll get the chance to ever own one.
