Any sexy new basses you've got your eye on?

My first thought is what scale are you “really” leaning towards? I see a mix of different scale lengths in those selections. If it’s short scale, I’d suggest saving a bit more and get a Gretsch Jet G2220, solid short scale for $299 new or sometimes lower in the used market. It’s a solid instrument for the price.

The scale honestly doesn’t matter much to me. I have the Ibanez Mikro and it’s one of my favorite basses, but all of the other 8 are full scale. The whole idea of buying one on eBay is $$$ and something I don’t have already although a Gretsch would be cool and something I don’t have (same with the Peavey, Cort and Jackson).

Either one of the Peavey basses is nice, but then I’m biased (I own two).

The blue P Milestone is in worse visual shape than the cream PJ. However, if you look, it has the truss rod wheel in the heel of the neck, whereas the PJ has a truss adjustment in the headstock. My Milestone JJ has it in the heel, and this is an absolutely wonderful system. Of these two, I’d probably go for the blue P. However, as I said I’m biased because a Milestone straight P is next on my hit list.

I looked at the blue one as being the better option because most of the defects r in the pickguard, which can be changed but your view of it was what I was looking for

I might still go after the Cort since the bidding is so low and the shipping is reasonable. Plus I like that color

I put in $175 with 1 minute to go but list it to a $178.39 bid. Oh well

Headless instruments are growing on me, what can I say… Strandberg is ofc on the table, someday…

I use to think they were horrible looking, now I own one…

yeah, now that I have my purple Schecters I’m feeling pretty content. Once I move a few things out, and can play a lot better, I plan to treat myself with one of these weirdos, and a guitar version eventually.

I do like my headless Steinberger Spirit but it keeps going out of tune

I have budget versions of the Stream 205 and 204, and I love them. I bet this would have been a sweet bass to have!

Incorrect. You don’t need a fifty-fifth bass.

Opinions are divided on that topic as well.

That’s right. They’re divided between “you should” and “you have to”.
