No, but my bass amp did, I called fedex and they said by end of day tomorrow.
What amp did you get ?
Just a little fender rumble 40. I wanted something cheap for now since I dropped a bunch on my guitar amp and cab LOL
2 days late, but its on the truck and should be here in an hour. Im like a kid staring at the chimney on christmas eve waiting for a dude in a red suit to shimmy down. LOL
Heard about those in a German bass forum.
Handcrafted in Germany, not too expensive. First company in Germany I know since Maruszczyk that also uses these fancy tops (resin)
I am happy enough with my 2018 Sandberg Ken Taylor and would only change it to a custom 32’“ Jazzus with HP, but these basses have catched my attention anyways.
I’d be probably trippin if I took some mushrooms and then you appear on stage with this one. ![]()
But ngl it definitely has something…
Just found this new baby yesterday on an online sale and immediately drove 300km to see it. For a price that was absolutely insanely undervalued. But it’s my birthday soon so…NO SHAME.![]()
1985 Yamaha BB1000s, Made in Japan, Neck Through.
Perfect condition (despite a tiny laqcuer chip on the back, but hell…). The sound, especially of that reverse P Pickup is just… ![]()
I was always a Yamaha Fanboy and with this being my very first entry in to the Yamaha world (and just second bass I’ve ever owned) it means a lot to me! ![]()
Well happy early birthday to you!![]()
I like it for that reason alone.
I’ve been wanting the MM pickup sound lately, so depending on what prices look like when I’m ready to buy, it’s going to be either the Sire Z7 in burgundy-
Or this Ray34-
I like that Sire.
I AM NOT BEING BLASPHEMOUS either.
I like how they pretty much nailed the headstock just keeping the tuners on the low side.
I am not one to EVER steer someone away from a Stingray, from the SBMM Ray4 up to the EBMM Specials 4, BFR or Signature models,
SO
Give Marcus Miller some credit that I would recommend you play each of them.. for a long time.
Even have someone blindfold you and hand them to you a few times for a tru blind test
And dont count the knobs with yiur hand, thats cheating ![]()
iYou have to feel this one out, thats the only way.
Even so, prob cant go wrong with either….
So
Just get em both![]()

I like my Z3. It’s a different sound for sure but awesome for rock. Tad heavier than everything else I own but it’s active so that may add some ounces. Finish is very nice as well.
Do you mean a different sound compared to a “normal” Stingray? I’m interested in your take on it.
No, different from a jazz, p, etc. I played a MM very briefly at GC and to me they sound very similar but I liked the feel of the Sire better.
If you can, play the Z7 before buying. When it first came out there was a problem with pickup balance on this model. The bridge pickup had a lot more power than the neck, and you had to shift the balance to like 80% neck before you could tell there was a neck pickup.
Sire being one of the good guys, acknowledged the problem and fixed it by swapping out the neck pickup. So it should be all good by now. But I would like play it first if it were me.
Z3 didn’t have a problem.
From everything I’ve seen, it seems like the newer neck pickup with the four big poles is their correction from the balancing issues of the original. I saw Lobster review the newer pickup, and it sounds really hefty.
So what the hell happened to Lobster anyway?
Did Lobster make an announcement, or just show up that ways
Not that it matters or bothers me personally in any way, shape or form, but I sure never saw that coming.
Remember Lobster looked like this
Anyway, I thought it was a costume the first video
