Bargains: Heads up thread

Yeah probably more like a DXR. The JBL’s definitely look nice; I have loved all of the JBL monitors I have owned.

The QSC looks awesome (and shares another advantage of the JBL’s over the Yamaha - the controllability).

This looks like a great price if anyone is looking for a Fender American Professional Precision. Note this is the Pro 1 version (Does not have the contoured heal) and the pup is not the original.

I am not affiliated with the sale.

That is a bargain! I got a pro 1 too and it’s awesome. Pretty sure I could sell mine for more. Why does he hide the serial?

Most likely out of an abundance of caution and to prevent the internet from having his serial number. I do the same with all the instruments I sell online and mask the last of the serial.

Oh interesting, a synthesis tutorial. What a cool idea. I wish I had had this back in the day

I really need to block this thread. I get the concepts, but translating that into sound design is more elusive. This seems perfect.

I’ve been using the old version of that. It was already very good. The new one is obviously even better! It is very informative and it is super fun. It’s like a game. You get small nuggets of knowledge and then have many challenges to check that in practice.
It works offline. It can also be used as a Synth plugin in your DAW. Works with MIDI keyboards.

Well worth the money (especially with 40% discount)

I’m having so much fun with this! Even if not playing synth, it’s great ear training practice. It’s exactly what I’d hoped it would be with the interactive practice, a really well designed learning system.

Yeah I kind of want it even though I am pretty experienced there.

I don’t play synth either. But I have that on my laptop, and use it to relax instead of playing games  Also, it is cool to have something musical while travelling.
Have fun

This site here has a ton of instruction videos for all kinds of music software (DAWs, VSTs, other plug-ins, effects, notation, …) as well as on recording, mixing, production and so on. They also have instructional material for different styles and instruments.
Check them out here:

I know much of this can be found for free on YouTube, but it is hardly ever as structured, consistent and educational as on this site.

They have a sale for a yearly all-access pass right now: USD 99 instead of 150.

(not affiliated with them… just digging their stuff!)

Guy locally selling a Berg 2x10/1x12 cab.
800W at 4ohms of earth rattling fun.

I really wish I needed the 95lb beast in any sane way, but just don’t. What a good deal!

Yeah, that sounds like a great deal. Perhaps you can find these deals because people are tired of lugging them cupboards around!?

I was going to say I am proud of you that you passed on a deal… but somehow I feel we are not in the clear yet  I have a hunch you are still figuring out a way to make this happen after all :joy:

Thank god it’s not my local. I’d gone nuts thinking about making space for it and figure out what to do with it. Lol.

I already have a 300W cab in a room 8’x30’. Lol
