Thanks! I might have some extra time on my hands tomorrow, and should probably dive into this aspect of Logic a bit more ![]()
The Peterson Clip-on Strobe Tuner that I’ve heard people rave about is $10 off at Sweetwater. Just ordered one!

Squier Paranormal bass for $399!!!
So my total GAS expenditure for the Thanksgiving / Black Friday sales was about $70.
For my $70 I got 9 courses on sale over at True Fire. It’s silly money for education. It’s about $8 a course.
That’s a score (no pun intended).
I picked up four TF course for 40 bucks.
Isn’t a ‘score’ slang for a unit of 20?
e.g. Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation
Good question. I dunno.
I meant great buy. I was trying to avoid the musical “score” pun.
fender rumble 100s on clearance from 237 at fender down to 199 at some online retailers

Means something completely different to me ![]()
Of course
One of the definitions of the word “score” is a group or set of 20. But it isn’t slang.
I know it as slang for amounts of money when you’re betting. Score, Pony, Monkey = 20 / 25 / 500
e.g. “I’ll bet you a pony, England go out on penalties”
In American slang, to score can mean either to fortuitously acquire something or to successfully be intimate with someone.
I meant my use of the term as the noun version of the former, e.g., “Nice score” = nice acquisition (purchase).
We all knew what you meant, I fear Barney still has CoVid fever
How else could you explain a Whelsh Canadian quoting Abraham Lincoln?
@Barney Ah, betting slang. I don’t indulge in betting much, so not really conversant in the slang for it. Although, there are enough advertisements on TV lately encouraging viewers to bet away their wages, so I might eventually pick some up.
That was impressive!
