Can someone please change the title of this thread to the “Best Locations and Fast Food Joints” thread?
Just made me so home sick. And fast food in the UK sucks. Well… fast food in the UK is big chains in the US. McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, KFC, Subway. There are a handful of Taco Bells and Wendy’s is just starting up (again) after 20 years. Krispy Kreme is becoming quite popular as there is no other donut company here. Five Guys are sprouting up too. That’s kinda it.
From my earlier years, the ones I miss the most from Texas are probably Whataburger and Sonic.
That’s fast food. Don’t even get me started on restaurants…
Hey, fish and chips is outstanding there. And the best damn Indian food I have ever eaten. Oh wait, ya that is just about where it ends.
Go American burgers!! Can’t be beat!
You guys need a taste of some central European cuisine … German, Czech, Polish … dumplings, cream, sauce, meat, dumplings, potatoes, meat, sauce, dumplings and potatoes

Depending on what time your plain leaves from SD, and depending on when you could get down whew and when you gave t leave

I had left Saturday open for the meet up and left Sunday for my laundry and paperwork. I won’t be able to go anywhere today, but I’m gonna try to make the Live Hang on Zoom later.
I’ll let you know if I have any time this week to meet up, but I can tell you that work takes up most of the day. I’m on an early flight on Saturday back to the east coast.
Unfortunately not. My world started falling apart piece by piece in the end of June, beginning of Jyly, and by the time this date had arrivd, I was having PC, and Ipad and Phone and Wi-fi issues all at the same time, plus lots of little family fires to put out, some still smouldering a bit.
I would love to do this in the future, with Jerry or anybody, even like as a monthly lunch.
Thing is, like the life hang’s, either somebody will have to step up and just take control of the whole thing, or we will have to work from a thread, where we poll who can go, then poll when, and then finding the where and things to eat and do, NOW is pretty easy.
I tried to take lead on this one, and again, things kept me from seeing i thru to fruition, But, I know it cab, no, I know it Will happen at sometime, will have to wait and see.
I am styill putting my gear and stuff back together pc, by pc, but should be back up and running ahain here shortly.

Yeah, I’m a bit late to this, but I’m in La Habra, CA., which is just about as far north in “northern Orange County” as one can get. But definitely driving distance to any OC location. So if this happens again, I’m in!

REALLY. We should set something up for us locals just to get together and grab a bite, hit a pawn shop or special local shop, pending where we meet up.
Seriously, we can wait til Jerry gets back sometime, or til Brian makes it over, or whenever other out of towners are in town, or we can just start doing one lunch a month, make it move around a bit, close to that months “hosting member”
By hosting me,ber, I mean tje person whos closest to the area of the month.
Tjen that member can find the spot to eat, local favorite or the like, and possibly a favorite Music / Pawn Shops to visit in that area that afternoon for whoever is there and wants to go
i am not ready to commit to being August host, Sept might work better for me.
