YESSSS….
And just to reiterate… pineapple has absolutely no business being on or near a pizza. There I said it. Hate me if you like. I would agree with you but then we would both be wrong.
No argument there.
I’m 100% in the market for an Aerodyne, but am I the only one who thinks the new designs are ummmm… less than aesthetically pleasing? I’m even a huge fan of both lake placid blue AND maple fretboards and love the look of my Stingray
But these new Aeros somehow look like a cheap replica to me.
I’m close to pulling the trigger on an older MIJ aero like this:
A. Don’t be shit talking my friend Mr Pineapple
B. There’s a whole boring thread on this subject. So feel free to hate on my buddy Monsieur Ananas here.
I wonder if pineapple knows that it’s almost as polarizing as politics?
Speaking of polarizing… this might belong here or in the ugly bass thread. But I kinda dig it. Maybe that says too much about me…
it’s quite a lot
i like it. hate the knobs. and needs the jack moved.
It is funky in myriad ways. Not all good, not all bad.
The knobs very much give the impression of afterthought.
I changed the subject at least! Hahaha.
That is a great bass to start with, I hope you are pleased with it
I own 6 Aeros and I think all the new ones are fugly.
I go for the MIJ/CIJ flame top ones, but - if you are looking for color options past flame tops, the non-export Aero colors are the way to go for sure.
I love the flame tops - but I haven’t seen any in my desired budget range whereas a few (always red) MIJ solid colors always seem to be out there.
Oh yeah. Do it. If I’m ever in Japan, I’m buying exactly that one and smuggling it back home without paying taxes, duties or shipping costs. Then I will be happy in the knowledge that I won’t need any other basses. You know, for a while.
Tick, tock, tick, tock…
I really hate Gibson-style knobs, yeah. They just look super cheapo.
