Not into LED instruments, strings, cars, etc⌠However, I sure wish someone would invent LED dog food⌠Would make it much easier to see where NOT to step at when running around out in the yard at night timeâŚ

Thatâs a regular sized bass but very close. The other bass is bigger but further away. (that may be an obscure âFather Tedâ reference that wonât mean anything in here)
The picture is a sketch of our dog outside a kennel - so I can see why youâd think âin-lawsâ. 
The lower picture is where I grew up.
For the record, my in-laws are like family to me - but without the arguing.
Itâs an old photo: you can tell because the middle one is a 6 string, and there is no Yamaha.

Nice looking âusedâ MIJ P-bass I just ran across that is basically unused. Love the color.
About $800, not bad, if I wanted a P-bass (and had $800 to blow) this would be a contender

I went shopping today. In three different neighborhoods, looking for just the right replacement bass for the 5str I just sold. I took lots of pictures because I hit a bunch of stores I hadnât been to yet. Also some from those I had been to as well, because they had some great stuff.
ESPâs Big Boss store in Ochanomizu had these SX SWB Spector/Warwick clones for less than $400 new. I was actually impressed. Super light, good tone, seemed well made. Goofy huge humbucker but hey, $400. I was actually tempted to get this instead of replacing my Warwick.
Some nice ESP Edwards they had.
Next, a shot of Kurosawa-gakki Bass Annexâs entrance, because they do entrances well.
Shimokura-gakki had a nice set of Motion Basses. I love them, if I wanted a short/medium scale they would be my pick. Cheap and good.
Next, over to Shibuya, to ogle Kurosawaâs store there. This is a high end store. Yen are basically cents, so divide by 100 to get the price in dollars; yeah, lots of $5-10k basses, just kind of hanging out.
$10k Zon.
Finally, Ishibashi-gakki in Shibuya.
Flea signature Fender Jazz Bass.

Status Graphite, for when you need to get your Wolstenholme on.

Japan really must be bass buying heaven! Locally, for me, the only clusters of new or used basses are at the Guitar Centers, Music-Go-Rounds, and the large pawn shops. But nothing even close to the amount of selection that youâve got there.

Itâs crazy. Japan has just gone super deep for music. These bass stores are a fraction of the shops - thereâs like 5x more guitar (at least), and tons of brass, woodwind, keyboard and strings stores too.
