Bass Porn

No, unfortunately - they will charge for overseas shipping. I don’t think it was too bad when @John_E did it though.

This is a really high quality chain here; I love their stores. Good mix of midrange to extremely high end instruments. I’ve posted lots of pictures of their selections over time. I always stop at one of their places when I am window shopping for basses.

Uh, yeah, I did click the Eng button, in the upper left on my iPhone. A few words on the page appeared in English, but that was all.

I just tried the page again and refreshed it. The reload hung up for several seconds before English text finally appeared.

Pretty sure this is where my Edwards came from. @Wombat-metal - for US folks you have to email them (Vs shopping cart checkout) to sort shipping charges. They send you pics of the exact bass they will ship you. Very good service. Wicked fast shipping.

Note: you will pay duty for anything over US $800, less than that no duty.

I added one to the cart as a test. Got a message saying it is out of stock.

Like John just mentioned, the cart doesn’t work for international shipping. That’s what the big “For Overseas Customers” button I mentioned is for

It’s in stock when I add it to the cart. Specifically, it’s in their Akihabara store. Which it also mentions on the page.

I feel like shipping to NYC area was $160-200 ish. IIRC

USA inquiry sent. Curious to see if shipping cost affects whether there is a duty charge, or not.

I’ve ordered from Germany twice and The Netherlands once. Only had to pay duty on the latter.

Sale price. Not shipping price. You can Google this. US customs website.

We Dutch people love taxes…

And those waffle sandwich cookies with caramel inside. The kind you lay on top of a hot cup of coffee to warm up.

(Feel free to substitute “biscuits” for “cookies” and tea for coffee, if that’s more apropos. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:)

Cool. Good to keep in mind.

Dollar/yen is ridiculous right now, good time to order.

Curious about shipping cost from Japan to Texas. I’ve seen crazy-high costs on Reverb, but not everyone charges for “handling.”

Yeah one variable is the current OPEC extortion; high fuel prices usually drives up shipping costs.

I wouldn’t worry about handling fees, those will likely be reasonable. You can probably avoid the tax too, unlike me.

Especially when paid to us by foreigners

And I actually paid a duty to US Customs, not a Netherlands tax. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

Inquiry sent. They don’t accept credit cards?

My browser automatically translates from Japanese, and I in fact have a Tokyo address from Tenso to ship from manufacturers who don’t ship overseas. Been down this road before

Yes they do, but you must communicate via email and they send a link for payment etc.
they work up a quote and all that for you etc.

They send you zillions of pics so you are sure you get what you want etc and they make very sure you are happy so they don’t have folks saying they changed their mind cause they don’t notice a wood grain or whatever etc (not necessarily damage).

They ship.
