ooOooohh. A sport ball logo.

I mean, I get it. Just not into sports paraphernalia, even if it is a bass. :joy:

Yeah I kind of wish it was all blue too.

Meanwhile, not at Ikebe but at another store I go to over in Ochanomizu: Stanley Clarke Alembic SB4

About $11k USD.

Especially West Ham ( The Hammers)

They were one of the more hardcore hooligan clubs back in the day before things got cleaned up. See the movie Green Street

I really like the looks of this one, even the logo fits but it’s still a logo of something unrelated that I don’t care for…
The Stanley Clarke Alembic SB4 not so much, it looks too wide

I love the look of this bass and considered getting it and removing the foosball sticker.

The Alembic body is small by Fender body standards.

It is not actually wide as much as it is shorter than a conventional design would dictate. The shortness of body contributes to the illusion that it seems “wide.”

They’ve probably clear coated over the transfer

I really like the '70s version of the Fender headstock logo.

There is an interesting story behind this one. Steve’s main bass is a 70s P, that was from a limited series made with a maple body. The Fender guys didn’t know it when they made the original SH signature bass (blue sparkle), so they just used an ordinary MIM bass as the base for it. This time around, they took measurements and studied the wood, so the current one is a pretty exact replica, much closer than V1.

I really like the current scheme, Hammers logo included. However, If I were to choose Steve’s bass paint scheme as a favorite, it would have been the black and white checkerboard he had early on.

It’s supposedly always the same bass, just different paintjobs (though this one has a rosewood fretboard here)

EDIT: I dream small, I guess, since this is in fact my dream bass and has been since I started. The DIY version I have just isn’t the same.

Man, the FujiGen Mighty Power looks good in green too.

Nice bass you have on the way, @Wombat-metal

Momose MP2-Std

Comes in about 2/3 of the way from a MIJ Fender and a MIA Fender. Is definitely as or higher quality than MIA Fender (not a slight in any way, Momose is top notch).

It does look good in green.

They’ve got one in a gun metal with a maple neck and ash body

Also looks fabulous. I am pleased with mine, ordered a strep for it today - an anthology. Not exactly sure what strings it comes with, have a spare set of bass boomers if I don’t like them so I am pretty set - and pretty stoked.

Wow, that looks awesome too.

Those are super tempting for the price.

Man, the Black Smokers just look amazing too. I just wish they were about $2k less

Absolutely love that headstock.

The used E-II’s come in about $500 more than I want to spend as well. Bummer.

It really does sound good.

They just seem priced so high. I have an LTD 1005 I will be culling soon, decided to go BEAD on the MDB5

What are you thinking in a bass?

Looking hard at P’s at the moment.

Edwards Groover looks interesting

Squier CV feels really good once you take the gloss off the neck. Best bang for the buck

I really like the FGN. Lobster has a video and it sounds really good on the neck or bridge pickups, and really fat together. I think I have a winner in that one

Yeah the E-Groover is cool, no question. Nice used one for about $600 right now:

I think I would want the see-through for that one though.

The FujiGen is really interesting. Might pop over there and check it out.
