This thing is seriously haunting me. I simply don’t have 190k JPY to drop on another SBV at the moment though. I mean, I do, but I wouldn’t let myself; I have a great SBV and don’t need another.

Very nice looking P-Bass. Any guesses to the make/model? I think you’ll be surprised. You can zoom in to the headstock for a reveal.

Some interesting things, looking in to this.

It’s been PLEKked. Not sure why. Not super happy about that, that’s gonna shave off some fret life (a real consideration on a 20 year old bass) and I’m curious about the reason it was done.

It’s got hipshot tuners on it. My guess is someone put on Hipshot Lightweights to help with the slight neck dive these have, which is fine with me, but for a collectible, the original tuners have real value. However they are exactly the same tuners as on my SBV so no big deal there, they are obtainable.

Finally, some sicko put flats on it. It’s basically screaming for a new home

Not that I am considering or anything. Well maybe I’ll consider a real lowball offer or something.

Someone probably thought this was “cool” and would bring the price up. I mean, shortly after discovering PLEK for the first time, I guess @T_dub would have PLEK’ed his mother, just to see it done
