Roasted Maple wouldn’t be brighter as much as it would sound more played in due to being drier than a standard Maple neck.

Ha! Someone in my office ordered a Charvel custom electric guitar and has been waiting a year and a half on delivery. I will be hard pressed to wait two months on this. The builder is a small shop, but he is painting it next week.

Two years ago my Fodera wait time was 8 months. Current build time is 23 months. I’d tell you time flies, but that’s only when it comes to aging.

Why do so many Jazz basses have that angled pick-guard cut-out and the metal control plate? I think they would look so much better if the pick-guard just continued down and there wasn’t a metal control plate.

I hear that. He called last week and isn’t supposed to get it until after the new year, which will make it about two years. I think they planted the tree for the body wood after he ordered the guitar.

Man, sorry to hear your wait is extended. But it is a Fodera, after all, and those seriously bad boys are worth waiting for. Please post a pic of the model you ordered.

Sorry for the confusion. The build time was not extended. The first (P bass) was already delivered two years ago after an 8 month wait (you’re given an exact date when your order). I was just referring to 23 months as the current build time if you were to place an order today. The one I got 3 months ago, which I previously posted a picture of, I picked up from Sweetwater the day it came in (after their extended wait time). The key is to find one that was already ordered and is well into the cue. The current one that I am first in line for at Sweetwater is due for a May delivery.

@AnotherJosh Beautiful bass. I had not heard of this company and didn’t realize they are 15minutes away from me. Let me know if you’d like me to go and play it and test it out for a weekend before they send it out to you.
