Glad it wasn’t just me ![]()
Love the bass !
You mean all the parts that make a JB a JB? ![]()
Yes exactly ![]()
Spec-friekin-tacular that is!!
That is quite possibly the most beautifully made ugly thing I’ve ever seen.
@HowlinDawg your comment made me think of this…

THAT is not ugly. That is hideous. This is a very important distinction, and is delineated by a string of zeros before the decimal.

that is the closest bridge pickup I have ever seen. I like only 2 knobs and the headstock is cool.
Sorry for the delayed response.
It took longer than I expected to rinse the bleach from my eyes!

I would like to see that thing go over a speedbump (several times)
Ok, so, those really address my main critiques of the Fender Jazz bass: the pickguard and control panel cover. Nice.
Not to mention, it got rid of the single coils and went with double humbuckers ![]()
Oh !!!
Man, that is supremely gorgeous!
Alembic makes beautiful instruments for sure.
I probably wouldn’t sound any better playing that, but I sure would look better
While theoretically true, every eye would actually be on that stunning Alembic.
I’ve had the privilege of seeing Stanley Clarke in concert back in the day, and while his playing was other-worldly great, I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by his signature Alembic. Same thing happened when I saw Jack Casady play his.
It sure is! Someone in The Netherlands has put one up for sale, that’s why it caught my attention. Current highest bid is €7800
