I don’t know how they do it. Gotoh tuners & bridge, Rosewood fingerboard, CFS frets which are slightly curved instead of straight for better intonation.

Fujigen makes great basses for a good price for sure, but to be fair the 30% off from the exchange rate is doing a lot of lifting here too.

Still, gotta love the MIJ craftsmanship.

I like the Black one better, all pickguard no control plate, except for the color. Me all black days are over. At least this has a black control plate, and I can change out the plastic knobs. We’ll see how the pickups sound. Might put the Nordy 51J4S in. Funny I will have a bass long before the pickups are manufactered.

Could try a black pickguard for a true BassBuzz bass but I really like that orange and white. Agree that nearly anything is better than chrome for the plate though. Maybe even tort.

I’m okay with Orange and White so far. Doesn’t scream black to me. Tort might work. Cream would work. We’ll see what the actual color is - the blue FGN looks way different - nicer - in person than the photo which didn’t do it justice
