I really like the Shadow Korina body with blackout PU and controls. From the internet:

The selector switch is for choosing between the DarkGlass Alpha and Omega distortion types and using the bass with the preamp only.

I rather have effects on a pedalboard, but I think this BFR is a looker.

Ball Family Reserve collectible. It will sell, no problem.

Oh yeah I didn’t think it wouldn’t sell. There’s just a lot of competition for my wallet at the 3k mark.

Yep, I hear that.

A bass has to check boxes, ring bells, float boats, whisper sweet nothings, and make barista-level coffee afterwards to justify my consideration.

And walk the dog in the morning.

Among other things.

But, of course!

It’s really not much more than their standard model. If the question is whether its worth it or not, well, I think we’ve had that discussion ad nauseum. I do like me some black limba though.

That’s absolutely not my question. If someone has $3000 and wants that bass. Then great it’s a beautiful bass. I really like the new Stingray special in black with black hardware.

My point is that once you get up into that price bracket there are lot’s of other interesting options. Unlike the Fender MIM price point of around $1000 where your options are fewer.

For example $1500 can get me a new Japanese Bacchus which looks (IMHO) fabulous and more expensive than the price would suggest.

Go for it!

They don’t show up used very often here, and I let one slip and I that has nagged me ever since.
Worst case (if you really don’t dig it) you can sell it again

Speaking of Woodline, these seem to be newer special issue models. I dig that the ā€œtortā€ is actually made from wood

How much do you think the total price would be to get it delivered to you in Canada? I’ve reached out to Ikebe on a few models they have, but after shipping, sales tax, and duties it starts to add up. It may be a better idea to visit @howard and carry it back on the plane. I think @John_E was on to something.
