booka bass?
That appeals to my love of woodwork, resin fills, maker videos, bass guitars, and that funky je ne se quoi of a fretless. I would like to know how much of that sound is signal processing.
Welcome @KitCrsn!
(Maybe consider hopping over to this thread and saying hello!)
That’s quite the wall of sound! Not sure why, but I can’t get this out of my head now.
Nice cab wall. And nice bass Wal
Holy moly!
Do you even need that extra subwoofer
Needs more cowbell!
Yeah the low sub is for the 75hz and below range to keep up with the volume, clarity, and punch of the rest of the range… Bass cabs have a tendency to fall off at the lower frequencies due to the driver design… Long-throw high-powered subs really help to fill in this range…
, I bring this up all the time when people criticize monitor speakers for being too small. Basically, guess what - most bass cabs fall off at around 55Hz too
If you want absolute low then you need a sub.
However really the only need for this is live as for recordings most of the sub-40Hz bass will be EQ’d away anyway (or it will sound really muddy).
Wow! What spawned this massive collection of amps an cabinets?
This is the way to compete against guitar players
My new Bayou Guitars employee, Tyler, was assigned to assemble and set up this Hondo Longhorn double neck bass from a pile of parts.
Tyler nailed it.
That reminds me of a YT video I watched this week with the bassist dressed full-on Glam Rock mode and with a pair of false arms playiing the second neck. Anybody know the band I mean? I can’t remember the name at all.
Dirty Loops! That’s who I watched. I just saw a bit more of the video and the bassist seems to be able to do the splits while playing a 6 string like a tapping god.
I see you found it - had that in the “Fun” thread last week, but didn’t get any traction
He wins. Lol.
really talented dude and i really hate that song
tl;dr, buy now if you want one:
though honestly it might not move it much
i’ve only been casually interested in dingwalls, they are cool yes. but a little too metal for me. this, however is really great looking. and that’s coming from someone that absolutely hated duran squared growing up.
