Terrible knobs on premium instruments is a pet peeve of mine. I donā€™t care if they are vintage, the cheap plastic knobs suck.

Yamaha Explorer Bass EBX-1. Super cool, MIJ in the '80s.

Thatā€™s one that was on Reverb for Ā£569 + delivery. Thereā€™s one locally tempting me for under $300. Not gonna but itā€™s a cute bass at that price.

Sorry, I missed that. Itā€™s hard to keep up.

Ewww. Iā€™m sorry, but this belongs in The Ugly Duckling/Freak Thread as far as Iā€™m concerned.

Haha I can see that, which is part of what makes it amazing, in all itā€™s '80s glam hair metal glory.

Not sure thatā€™s a raise. :joy:

That Rick-enstein is gonna be one heavy mother.

Plus, the headless one is a sub bass.

True - youā€™d need some major core strength :joy:

Stil what use is the sub bass - apart from communicating with whales? :grinning:

If you want sub then buy an OC-2 and put the rest of the money towards a nice bass.

A sub octave Bass sounds cool to meā€¦ Check out this vid. Quite pricey though  Scale to me seems quite bigger than that dual sub Bass/Guitar.

Yep, this was a thread topic a couple of years ago.

Oh, I agree. Sub octave basses sound great.

Good pedal. I switched to the E-H Micro POG. It tracks really well and the dual outputs (dry and FX) add a lot of routing flexibility.

This video uses the Micro POG with a guitar, but it also works well with my basses.

lol yeah, these are very different. I love the OC-2 but you buy it you buy it for the synthy glitchiness.
