Oakenbacker? Rickenbarker? Either way I’ll leaf the tonewood conversation for elsewhere.
How do ya’ll get such expensive and rare basses??
Pictures of these basses are found online and they’re posted in this thread.
The “Show Us Your Basses” thread is where personally owned basses are posted.
ooh…sorry
I feel strongly about those inlays, I am just not sure yet if it is love or hate. I am thinking lurve.
Yes definitely love. How cool.
It’s a beautiful piece of work, for sure. And, even though it’s got fanned frets, it has four strings, which will keep @joergkutter from questioning my allegiance thereof. ![]()
That was a foolish endeavor on my side
Luckily, there are beautiful four-string basses and beautiful five-string basses (and, I hear, even beautiful six-stringers).
I’m a sucker for fancy fret marker inlays. All my stuff just has dots and it’s kinda cheap looking. If I had snazzy feet inlays I’d probably wear it around town just to show off.
Well that one’s going to stop you trying to wrap your thumb around the neck!
Beautiful customized Fender Precision build. Except for the upgraded pickups (bartolini) and tuners (carbon fiber) everything is Fender. The neck is roasted Maple it’s the Vintera 50s Precision.
What are those knobs? Looks cool.
no idea but yeah, for sure, looks cool !
That finish is awesome.
Seems to be On/Off switches for the pickups. The tone is set through a master tone roller pot ![]()
And here’s their page full of eye candy ![]()
Maybe they pop out when you press them, like on my oven ![]()
Apparently, they do pop up/down when pressed.
Excerpt of the features description:
The on/off switching allows direct access to these (three pickups) sounds giving an immediate tone at your fingertips and a roller tone for extra shaping.
