It’s not about requiring a double cutaway.
It’s about not unnecessarily sacrificing thumb access to the top of the fretboard for a dubious cetacean-encephalitic aesthetic that not everyone likes.
And that’s just fine. You like it. It’s fine that others don’t. It doesn’t make them conformists.
By cutting away said wood on a single-cut body, the result is by definition a traditional double-cut, à la an electric guitar design, and by extension, a traditional Leo Fender design.
Lastly, I stated that this was my opinion:
Nowhere did I call anyone a conformist or denigrate one’s aesthetic preferences.
