I’ll post about it in detail soon, perhaps in a dedicated thread, when I’ve had a little more time to gather my thoughts. (Just got home late last night) But yeah, I was at Victor’s Bass/Nature camp this past week. It was amazing in so many ways, beyond just playing the bass. If you ever get the chance, I cannot recommend it highly enough! Steve Bailey was there (sharp eyes, @joergkutter !) along with several other top tier players / instructors.

I agree. What’s the back story to getting to play that bass? Also, cool practice space. It gives me bass summer camp vibes.

Heh, yeah I got to speak with Amos as well that night he came out . Cool guy! I love that he plays bass for TSwift, but is a total metal head too

Also Amos Heller is a fabulous bassist / human with some great thoughts about bass / gigging etc. Worth a look / listen

I’ve posted this one here before but some new pictures have appeared on instagram. They only sent me a pic of the body and the pick up instructions, but now I’ve seen these I’m really jonesing for this bass now It doesn’t help that I have her sister here on holiday with me.

The bassist from local band The Effigies brought his original blackstar to club Exit in Chicago back when he bought it in the '80s and showed it to me. when he opened the case and I saw it for the first time, I thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life
