Luckily (?!), everyone 50+ gets sent a screening kit here every few years, and colonoscopy only becomes necessary when the screen shows some warning signs.
But, yes, we should all heed the words of Joe and take better care of ourselves!

It’s so common that my Dr put me in a free study for cologuard. And it was so easy I’ll be doing it every couple years. I really miss Joe. He was a really bright spot here. I think of him quite fondly.
I was thinking of him the other day. How the first time he ever responded to me here, i looked at his profile and saw he worked for the federal government. I’m really glad i got over my natural distrust of the government, because knowing him even just here was an honor for me.

I got to know joe (@Jazzbass19 ) just a little bit right there at the end. The little bit he shared with me about himself makes me wish i had known him better, and longer.
I was honored to call him a friend, and i miss him.
