i tried to make a youtube video from a bit of footage of me playing blitzkrieg bop with my mates band. however, it wont let me publish due to copyright. yet everyone else seems to manage to show their covers just fine?
any idea whats going wrong for me?

Usually it will give you a warning that it is a copyrighted song letting you know that you can’t monetize the video but you can still have it there for people to watch. Look over the warning to see if it is in reference to that.
Oh! That sounds like a big ban hammer. Probably can’t post it with that type of a warning.

Yeah unfortunately there are some artists AC/DC, The Beatles etc who won’t allow any portion of their music to be used.
I’ve run into this before with my channel (The Black Keys was the latest one for me)

Usually it’s not the artists, it’s their labels.

Wow, I’ve never seen one that bad before. I’ve had a couple of Sony (SME) ones blocked quite heavily, but the worst was Fleetwood Mac.
This lovely family post loads of The Ramones covers, and seem fine.
Maybe upload it to Vimeo and share it here, although I’ confused as to why it was such a heavy strike. Do you have a monetized channel?

Love the idea, Johnny! A single, easy-to-find roster would make it way simpler to support each other’s channels and check out everyone’s practice vlogs, covers, gear demos, etc.

Thanks for posting this link. I checked out and they are really lovely! In their oldest videos from 5 years ago the daughter was so young and cute. Nice to see she’s still singing and now playing bass guitar! 
I noticed they managed to publish a video of Ramone’s Blitzkrieg Bop, so I don’t understand why YouTube allows one user to publish but another one gets a copyright warning. Why can they publish it but @sadexpunk can’t? 
It’s like random tyranny.

This is fun, but an odd song to cover. Joey writing about how Johnny, aka KKK, stole his girlfriend and married her, and then the two didn’t talk for 20 years ( but they still toured and made albums)

Here is our lates Original Tune and the time lapse was from our past gig at the So Co Social Club here in GJ , Colorado. We are Foxie Flo as that was our singers Roller Derby name. We play mellow originals and corky cover tunes and we target winery crowds. This was our first gig at the So Co and it was a fabulous experience. They asked us to come back on the 16th of August. So That’s Cool
