Hiya all, I hope life is treating you well. As some of you may recall, my son and I packed what we could into our van, and left home in Cumbria, North West England on 9th November 2024, never to return!
We travelled via the Eurotunnel into France, through Italy, and to Albania (via ferry) where we have stayed, mostly. That trip took 6 days, and we filmed parts of it to record the experience.
In December, we drove to Greece (135 miles from our house in Albania), spent a few days there, before carrying on to North Macedonia. In total we were away for 10 days, and filmed a lot of that too! We also went away for New Years Eve.
I’ve spent a lot of time editing videos in between, as well as exploring our home town, so I really haven’t left myself much time for bass practise!
This week I have practised 3 times, so that is a good start, although our 90 days in Albania is almost up, and we will be staying in an apartment in North Macedonia from the beginning of February, so I’m not sure how that will effect my ability to practise. it all depends on the neighbours!

You have a very smooth camera action! Sometimes I get motion sickness from watching videos people film while walking and turning around, but watching your video was very nice and comfortable (really smooth camera action

Interesting how the city looked empty during the new year. Probably everybody concentrate on one stop.

Yeah, it was quite surreal when we walked to the centre at 11.30pm, it was so quiet!
But, if you watch the celebration video you will see that it did get busier as we approached midnight.
Honestly, mixed content isn’t the end of the world especially if you’re not chasing hyper-growth right now. If pizza isn’t your focus anymore, you can just lean into bass going forward and let the old videos sit there as part of your journey. Playlists help a lot, and the algorithm already proved it can still pick up good stuff when it wants to.
This is great. Look at your improvement so quickly! Enjoy the journey!
