There’s logic behind certain notifications like an incoming phone call, they take precedence of your speaker
Good call. I’ll try that. Better yet I’ll do the do not disturb.

It seems when certain other apps go to do something in the background, get/give a notification, etc it can cut off the waza.
I don’t see any way it could cut off the waza.
Interruptions I’m experiencing are always between the Boss transmitter and the headphones. Bluetooth connection to my iPad works fine and I’ve never experienced any cut off.
I’m using dedicated spare iPad that has basically only Simple metronome app (streamed using Bluetooth Audio) and Boss Waza app (only needed to adjust settings or use tuner, in that case it enables Bluetooth MIDI connection. After few minutes MIDI Bluetooth connection is closed automatically). No notifications run on that iPad (it’s in Do not disturb mode).
But there are many other devices in our flat that use 2.4Ghz… These days even dish washers and ovens have wifi .
Just ordered one of these as a birthday gift to myself. Will hopefully be here by Wednesday, so let’s hope I don’t have any of the headaches I’m reading about here. I hope @netcarlos managed to get his woes sorted.
My Waza Air Bass works great. Shout if you need any help.
Waza Air Bass, and to never, never, ever, ever get married again are two of the best pieces of advice I ever got from @MikeC
I’am considering getting a Boss Waze Air Bass for Christmas
The objectif will be to ear the lessons from the iPad and bass together
I want something « plug and Play » with no need to connect to a power supply or PC
Form the manual, it seems that this would work
Do you still recommend getting them in 2024/25 or are there better products out there ?
I can only speak to my experience with the Waza Air-Bass system, but it has been a great system for me. Its low-latency Bluetooth capability allows me to stream/hear backing tracks from my phone, laptop/desktop, etc. as I play.
Also, the build of the components is excellent.
If I were in the market for a great bass Bluetooth system today, I’d go for a Waza-Air Bass. That said, check out all reviews and how-to videos/articles to make sure it’s for you.
I don’t know if there are any better products as such, but I’ve been using the Boss Waza-Air for a few years now and have zero complaints. There’s no noticeable signal delay, the sound quality from the headphones is decent, the app is easy to use and has a bunch of useful effects (I mostly use it for backing drums or metronome) and the build quality of the components is solid. It recommend it.

I don’t think that there are any produce like a Waze Air Bass, the closest one(s) is the Katana Go. It’s very difficult to incorporate the Ultra Low latency bluetooth into anything through a musical instruments. Kudos to Roland.
It’s not without learning curve as sometimes it can drop signals due to some other Bluetooth interference but you learn to turn them off. It’s a much better experience than headphones because there’s sense of space between you and the bass.
Thank you all for your replies !
Looks promising
one more question then: Do you know if the system can work with a Dingwall NG3 ? I’m concerned about the jack shape and the plug space
@Al1885 , as you have a few basses, maybe you have experience with non fender like plug shapes
thanks a lot !

It should work just fine. the angle is not the problem if I would ever worry it’d be the recessed jack is too deep but I doubt that is the problem.
Thanks ! I’ll give it a try and return it if not OK
