Cort Artisan A4 Plus - What do you think?

Very nice.

not my kind of instrument but I can say that Bartolini pickups are often great (especially for jazz, fusion … think soft and refined music) and that every single Cort I played were incredibly good for its price tag.

I guess that explains why it’s not your kind of instrument.

Note that many Ibanez and ESP metal basses have Bartolini’s too

Hello!

I wanted to tie this thread nicely for the future readers if anyone stumbles upon it looking for this bass!

I got mine finally

In the night right after ordering the Open Pore Natural color I had an epiphany saying me that once again I did not take the “leap of faith” for getting something flashy and chose a color easier on the eyes… I did that a lot with motorcycles choosing the most practical one over a real flashy one.

So I decided to break “my chains” so to speak and called the shop on Monday morning to see if they can entertain my whim… They were super cool about it even though the bass was already ordered and left the warehouse.

This little change of color costed me an extra wait of 1 week (even though warehouse and the shop are in the same city!) and I received my super flashy babe of a bass!

Initially it felt super awkward and I still don’t feel comfortable about the volume control on the bass versus my ampless setup but all is great otherwise! I feel like playing it whenever I see it so the chemistry is there! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Excellent, thats what’s important, this is what cheep the spark alive, and It will keep you playing.

The same goes for Squire, by the way. Cor-Tek manufactures them, then slaps the Fender/Squire sticker on them.

Welcome @bernds64

You only have to look to Sterling Stingray 34 Black ASH model with roasted maple neck. well, a few of the Ray34 have them, it is nice.!

Hahahahah
those Corts do look sexy, but you know how I am about Ray’s

thank you guys for your welcome
@T_dub yes, like the stingray, but the Cort is half the price

@T_dub
Stingray 1.099 €
Cort 499 €

But i think the stingray is a superb instrument althoug the Cort is unbeatable in price regarding quality and features

Not everyone would rather have the 'ray

I mean, I like Stingrays, but out of those two, I would probably go for the Cort myself, even at the same price. Dual humbucker active/passive bass with what looks like a really playable neck? Yes please.

Wow, didn’t mean to offend you.
Since it is a Cort thread, I will remove the Ray posts
