COUNTING in B2B Workouts? (opinions needed)

I need to stop being hesitant and do them…I read the reviews and was like yup want to do this…then because of past promises (not here mind you) I always get that last moment of doubt in my head.

The counting was spot on although, sometimes, and I stress very few, the talking while jamming thru me off a little.

I think the counting is good at first to get the new feel and rhythm down, but you should only do it once per workout. If people want more counting, they can just replay that first iteration.

Thanks for the info! FYI quite a few dsylexic people have done the course, so you may be able to make it through if you can cruise through the initial overwhelm.

And there are always some non-counting workouts mixed in, plus the extended audio is counting-free.

I don’t have counting related feedback because I don’t remember particularly noticing it, but I’m going to highjack the feedback thread to give some different feedback.

It took me longer than I’d like to admit to realize the course extras has the entire music/tab for the lesson transcribed in it. I find it a lot easier to learn if I see the whole segment first overview than going note by note, but I’m guessing the course is structured to not overwhelm anyone by throwing the whole thing at them. I think pointing out the whole thing is transcribed if you want to see it in one place every once in a while would be a good addition.

I just waited for the parts when you stopped counting. Not only to hear the music but because I’m weird : I have synaesthesia and I see colours when thinking of numbers and letters. So trying to think of the fret number and hearing an other number at the same time was short-circuiting my brain, something like what Hgaara0204 experienced.

But the counting helps a lot of people, me included when I’m not playing at the same time. So no worries, I just wait for the silent parts

It doesn’t bother me as I always tap my foot to keep in time but it’s still a good reminder of where you should be playing.
