The “issue” is on the comment section of the lessons (not on the forum)
I haven’t received new emails since yesterday so I’ll see
Oh misread then. I didn’t get any from the videos.
I think that is just the way he mutated as a bass teacher in the last 10 years… nothing to do with post processing
He hinted a couple of times at alien fingers… just saying.
I’ve got two EHBs. An EHB1005SMS, silver 32" with the Bartolinis, and an EHB1500, Dragon Eye finish with the Nordys, which is a long scale.
I am considering an EHB because they really are more ergonomic to play. Though I may tune the 1500 down a full step and put a capo on the second fret, making a short scale though I don’t know if that will work. I got both for $700 each, brand new floor models.
Hey all! Update on the annoying email notifications about old lesson comments - we’ve got that fixed and no more emails will be sent out. Sorry to those of you who may have gotten emailed from years-old comment threads when we did the migration.
And still he teases us with a BassBuzz t-shirt.
This is significant for many of us, thanks.
I was always told that mutation was super important when playing bass.
Love the changes! I even loved playing the “fake jazz”! Excellent QoL improvements. Approved!
Nice score! I paid 999 € for mine.
Let us know how that turns out.
I’d have thought there would be a risk of the tension on the E string being a bit low. But there’s no down side to trying it!
Hi Josh ……Just a quick thank you for being a great teacher and inspiration.
Update looks awesome and adding in the new songs is just an added bonus.
As someone who is 65 with a couple of “worse for wear” fingers on my left hand (result of Martial Arts and Rugby ) it gets challenging at times but on the positive it makes me think outside the box and adds a little quirkiness to my fretting
.
Look foward to finishing the coursed and then going straight back to the start to do it all over again.
It would be tuned down to D and that is pretty common so should work in theory
Genden: I love the fret markers as well, and intend to look at all the new “stuff”, thanks to Josh. The first time through the course, his old unmarked bass drove me nuts. Cheers.
Got me by surprise, especially that I just got my own bass (Sire V3) as a replacement for a rented one.
I’ve been tweaking it for the last 3 days or so and got back to the course only after a brief pause only to figure out that the slap has been slapped out of module 13
Will check it out in the new masterclass module for sure
- quality of vids (4K banana!), although it wasn’t bad in the original, and audio was top notch already
- the player works so well on both my mobile (Android) and has so many features now
- fretboard widget is amazing, I got my extras printed straight away because I couldn’t follow quick note-naming and frets especially at first at bassline overviews
- better player, doesn’t force
- I have a feeling that sometimes the Josh’s bass volume is just so low I can barely hear it
Overall I’m super happy with the refresh, was meant to go through some fast workouts again, now I can run through the course once again yay
It’s like Christmas all over again
oh and by the way, is this some imperial clock or what
No more Da-na-na-na-na-na intro jam on the beginning of lessons? That’s a first success in figuring out songs for a lot of people!
On a more serious note @JoshFossgreen - should M10L4 be titled “Triplets in London Calling” instead of just “triples”?
This is absolutely amazing. Josh did you redo all videos? Gonna have to start again. The few I have checked out are amazing. First go was great. But you are a better teacher now. And I’m excited to start again.
