I like watching Jermaine Morgan now and again too, chill vibes, motivational talks and stuff :slightly_smiling_face:

For reggae enthusiasts, I recommend Don Chandler a.k.a. “Donstrumental”. Great channel.

I saw him mentioned, but not linked. I’ve really enjoyed and learned a lot from Adam Neely’s channel over the years. He doesn’t do a lot of bass-focused stuff these days, but he does do some cool music theory videos for people who get into that kind of thing.

This recent video on improving time without a metronome was really cool (I can almost guarantee you it’s not what you think )

I’ve watched a LOT of bass channels over the years, and Josh and Adam’s are the only ones still in my subscribe list, because all the other ones ended up annoying me for one reason or another (except for CoverSolutions, his stuff is great).

Thanks to someone on this forum for recommending Philip Conrad to me, although he seems to be tapering off now. I’ve really enjoyed some of his stuff.

I also just discovered the Bass Wizard last night, and I think he has the most non-obnoxious bass reviews I’ve seen yet (other than Josh). For me he found the sweet spot of playing a demo riff that’s long enough to hear the differences in tone without overstaying its welcome and making me want to jump out a window.

Is this the same as Marcelo’s channel? He’s great.

His bass setup videos are pretty much the best. More practical than Carruthers’ IMO.

Yeah that’s who I meant. I didn’t catch his name last night. I watched some more of his videos tonight.

I’ll definitely look for his setup videos. I’m sure I have more to learn there.

I’ve been enjoying Danny “Behs” Sapko. He makes me laugh.

I agree. Sapko cracks me the hell up.

Can’t help but do a terrible impression of his “Bloody hell, Mark” joke every time I watch one of those older, eye searing videos from Talking Bass.

A few channels I watch regularly - not specific to bass, but good non-the-less.

This one is mostly orientated to guitar - but covers quite a bit of music theory, songwriting and composition, mixing and other topics of interest.

This one is piano orientated, but has quite a bit of useful and interesting videos

Mostly metal guitar orientated, but has some basic music theory, metal song composition, lyric writing and mixing tidbits that are pretty decent.

Chug on drop D for the whole song? Got it :sunglasses:

I prefer more classic metal, chug the E (or Eb). :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

#1. PD Bassist

great content, well presented , I think each one of his I have looked at I learned something

  1. Japanese Double Bassist whose name I can’t remember sorry. This guy notates famous walking lines. He’s basically straight, no chaser

  2. Adam something - esoteric and/or vaguely humours stories with some Theory lessons

  3. the wee German (?) guy Bass The World (?) not much use for me I just like his enthusiasm. Infectious joy I think that guy loves his job.
