I saw them once at The First Avenue in Minneapolis and was nearly crushed during the first song. Fortunately a wasn’t hurt, but it was scary for a second. Amazing show.

I’ll be honest - i listen to A LOT of music, but I very rarely go to concerts.

The first batch that I can remember is:

  • Blink‑182 played @ the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA on April 30, 2001.
  • The White Stripes @ the Plaza of Nations in Vancouver, BC September 15, 2003
  • Jamie Cullum @ Moore Theatre in Seattle, WA on March 1, 2006

Then details get fuzzy.. but my last concert was..

  • Coldplay @ Soldier Field in Chicago, IL on July 23, 2016

Weird Al was my second to last concert. Last was Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats. Those were both this past year. I honestly don’t remember my first. First I can remember I think was the Beach Boys or a BB cover band in Branson back in the early-mid 80s. I also remember BJ Thomas and BB King pretty early on. My mom took me to those when I was a little kid.

First: Janet Jackson and Usher

Last major tour: Sessanta with Primus, Perfect Circle , and Puscifer

Last show: four local stoner metal bands at a club

My teenage daughter is a huge metal head so we go to metal shows all the time.

Took the boy to see Sevendust right before Christmas. 3rd time seeing them in concert. I thought the acoustic meant all acoustic but it’s just a lighter version of their normal show. More acoustic but still amazing. They are one band I will see when given the chance. Great show!

Oh and I guess my first “real” concert was Ozzfest in 98 which is also the first time I saw SD live.

On May 14, 1988, Depeche Mode played Astroworld in Houston, Texas. I was a preschooler. You had to walk past the amphitheater to get to the parking lot. I had spent the day at the amusement park with my parents. Somehow my parents temporarily lost me in the concert crowd. Technically, this was my first concert. (I don’t remember it but I do like Depeche Mode a lot!)

I saw David Byrne in Chicago this past October and if I didn’t already know he was 73 I wouldn’t have guessed it. Very fun, energetic show and his touring band is amazing.

1st: Spencer Davis Group in the mid-90s, I was 12 or 13. They came to my little village because the owner of the venue new their producer. Just started listening to music and got a few albums from my dad and uncle (red and blue compilation albums from the Beatles, The Wall by Pink Floyd, Appetite for Destruction by Guns’n’Roses, Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits and No need to Argue by the Cranberries). Was weird to them talking about kicking the Beatles from the no.1 spot while playing in front of like 50 people.

Last: Slomosa/Kadavar double-header last december. Was awesome.

Sorry for posting in an old thread but I love this idea. My first concert was Phil Collins. My parents took me. But my first concert for me was Edgefest 98 where Foo Fighters opened for Green Day. Most recent concert was Tool.
